"Semana 2" -- August 17, 2018

Hello Everybody!

It was really great to read your e mails. I love and miss you all!

I think I've finally started to get used to schedule around here. It's been an adventure trying to figure out how everything works (and what everyone is saying). I'm picking up spanish a lot more easily than I thought I would. I think it makes the other people in my district a little bit jealous. :)

We've had a lot of very spiritual eperiences here. We watch a live devotional from the Utah MTC every Tuesday and a re-run devotional every Sunday. We watched an amazing one with Elder Bednar where he talked about how the savior was selfless when most people would be selfish and how that is an important trait to develop on a mission. I highly recommend you guys look it up. Elder Bednar does a cookie monster impression at one point. I never imgined how funny that would actually be.

Me and my roomates are super good friends. We talk and joke around every night (but not too much). I can't remember if I mentioned this in my letter last week but everyone in our district is going to Quito, Ecuador. We're the only district in the CCM right now that has everyone going to the same mission. That makes me super excited because we won't have to say goodbye to each other when we leave in 4 weeks. We have the best district ever!

I joined the CCM choir this last Sunday. We rehearse every Sunday at 4:30. That has been super fun. It was a little hard the first two weeks when I was feeling a little stressed and overwhelmed and I couldn't just pick up my guitar or saxophone and play. It's been good to have music in my life again. Elder Syndergaard isn't much of a singer so I go on splits with Elder Watkins to go to choir. He has a really good voice.

Elder Leloux and I have been talking a lot of shop about saxophones and our favorite players and artists. He's our district leader now and he is a great guy.

Well, that's been my week pretty much. I hope you guys have been doing well!

Hasta la próxima semana, los quiero mucho!
